Made to measure product solutions
At Žima, in addition to our standard service, we also provide a made to measure service. Upon request, we can make brushes in small quantities, or individually. Using a sample and a drawing, our specialists, together with yours, develop a brand new brush for a specific purpose, such as the installation in various machines, conveyor lines, machining lines, as an aid in manufacturing plants or in smaller independent operators and also for individual personal use.
On the following pages you will find the basic models: wheel brushes - discs, flat brushes, round and roller brushes, strip brushes. Based on these shapes there are many more possibilities. The preferred solution is somewhere in the framework of these basic versions. This allows short fabrication times, lower costs of production and utilization of existing technology.
The company Žima also has an option to repair existing brushes, for which a preliminary visit of our experts is required. For special orders all existing materials that are used in the brush industry, for the manufacture of brushes are available. For those orders, please contact our experts, our sales clerks or visit us in the company where you will be advised. By prior arrangement, you can be visited by our expert in your company.

Flat brushes
Flat brushes are used for cleaning, as a brake, for scraping, discharging voltages, sorting etc. The material of the body can be of wood, steel, aluminum or various plastics. Material fibers can be fine horsehair, steel or other. By positioning the fibers at an angle (up to 30°), flat brushes are very useful.

Round and roller brushes
They are used for jobs that do not cause high mechanical load to the brushes: wetting, cleaning, transportation, sorting. The bodies are made of wood, aluminum or plastic. The application use, determines the fiber type selected. The temperature, chemical and mechanical properties are significant. Depending on the requirements, the density of the fibers can be adjusted with the size of the holes and the spacing between the holes. The cleaning power of the brush is determined by the length of the fibers.

Strip brushes
The necessary dimensions and data: Hc overall height Hv length of the bristles, Šp gauge width, Mounting of profile fixture...
Strip brushes are mainly used for sealing moving parts. They seal doors and windows or protect the moving parts (installation in machines) from dirt. They can be different shapes and profiles, with or without fasteners. Therefore your order must contain attachment information in addition to the rates. The apropriate fastener can be made of aluminum, steel or plastic. The fibers can be natural, plastic, or steel.

Čopiče in valjčke lahko preprosto shranite v plastično vrečko in jih dobro zavijete. Do naslednjega dne jih hranite na hladnem mestu, da se barva na njih ne posuši.
VOC direktiva
Ali veste, da je Slovenija kot članica Evropske Unije uveljavila strogo okoljsko zakonodajo, katere del je tudi direktiva VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds), o omejevanju emisij hlapnih organskih spojin (HOS), iz leta 2004. To v praksi pomeni, da je za implementacijo potrebno premaze na osnovi organskih topil zamenjati z vodnimi premaznimi sistemi. Za nanos le teh pa niso več najbolj primerni čopiči iz naravne ščetine temveč čopiči iz sintetičnih vlaken ali kombinacije obeh.
